One of the dream wish list items for every boater is a mid-ship, full beam, master stateroom. This means it is in the middle of the boat from a fore and aft perspective (i.e. least motion) and spans the full width of the boat. 

The Hampton boats have this much sought after feature.  Ours is coming along.

The lazarette is like the garage or workshop of our boat. In some boats, it's just big enough for storage. In ours, we can store stuff, but also have equipment, tools, and room to work on projects. 

To save space in the galley, we are locating our trash compactor in the laz. We had it all planned out when we were in Shanghai, but when the factory guys went to build the cabinetry, they found that the prop tunnels were intruding into the space and some changes would be required.

That's one of the great things about working with HYG and modern technology. Even though we are many hours apart, we communicate via email with pictures. With some back and forth, we come up with a new design and move along. 

Generator and engine install day at the factory! These beauties will take care of us and vice versa.

We hope all our friends, including our boating friends, are making lots of great plans for this year. This will surely be a milestone year for us. If all goes according to plan, Mahalo will be ours in June. Meanwhile, progress continues at the factory.
