Most of our friends have never experienced Alaska on a boat, but are curious why we are so motivated to own a boat capable of cruising there, and what we plan to do. This video really tells the story of cruising some parts of Alaska (they mention Prince William Sound but don't have any video from there). When you are looking to buy a nice boat, you will continually hear the phrase "buy your second boat first." People are hesitant about owning a large boat, so they buy something smaller thinking it will be easier for them. Which is the opposite. That's what these people found and they do a nice job of telling the story. I know we are looking forward to making our own B.C. and Alaska cruising stories. But when we find nice ones like this we will share on our blog.

A lot of people ask how these boats get to the USA from China. Answer - they are shipped inside huge container ships. Here is a picture of Hull #11 (i.e. the one completed before ours) arriving in Tacoma after the journey. That will be an amazing moment when ours arrives in May! The Hampton team went to work and got the final commissioning done in Seattle, so that Hull #11 could be in the boat show (Lake Union) at the end of January. To my eyes, these boats get better looking all the time. I wonder how long before someone can't resist and picks up #11?
