So we splash down at Roche Harbor, typical gorgeous day there. When the pilot opens the door and I make a move to get out, the first boat I see is Ken Williams magnificent Sans Souci (Nordhavn).. www.kensblog.com Too bad he wasn't around this weekend, would have been fun to catch up in person. Walking up the dock I saw this interesting Hampton Endurance. Reverse rake windows like ours, but a fully enclosed "sky lounge" fly bridge. I believe ours is the fourth 658 to have these windows. Hull #11 of our series. We were on this boat in December in Shanghai. She arrived in Seattle in time for the February Lake Union boat show, so perhaps many of you got to see her then. Since purchased and named Gratitude. Was nice for us, such a similar sentiment to Mahalo. That's Deb in the white hat on the boat deck. They had just concluded a women's docking class. She said she did well! There were about 50 boats participating, 10 of those being Hamptons. The others are boats the HYG team has sold. With our boat not being complete, we stayed in the hotel. This was really NO FUN AT ALL. Going to be good next year having our boat there. There were a lot of fun side trips, this one being the dinghy jaunt to Wescott Bay oyster farm. As we are not oyster eaters, we lucked out with shrimp cakes and pulled pork. It was a great time in a magical place. Of course the best part was speaking with the other owners, what a great group of people. Next year going to be even better, of course!
