One of the items on our LONG procurement list is deck chairs. We have seen how people use them for "docktail parties," and we wanted to add extra seating for our cockpit table too.
We didn't want the ones that stow in a little sack (like everyone takes to kids soccer games), we have had those in the past. We wanted an old style camping chair, where when you push the seat down it is under tension and is nice and taut.
Looking on Amazon we couldn't really find what we were looking for. We then visited B&M stores Sierra Outfitters and Sportsman's Warehouse. Still nothing perfect. Then Debbie remembered that a new Dick's Sporting Goods was built in our area, so we went there. Wow, what an amazing store.
We asked about the deck/camping chairs and a helpful chap said "we have several styles, but let me show you our best seller and my personal favorite." It had the seat exactly the way we want it. Easy fold up. Two nice carry handles. Reasonable weight. And oh, one more thing.
M/V Mahalo. Where even the deck chairs are hydraulically stabilized.
