The little things...

Adding a little more info regarding the posts over the past couple of days, the "Tale of the Turtles" as well as the stone yard visit... The picture above is the area under the flooring for the VIP head. This head, the master head, and the galley, all have their floors heated with a circuit that is part of the diesel furnace heat.

So toasty warm floors. It's a bit of a luxury, but for those of us living in the PNW with stone floors, we know how special it is to have them heated. Hampton does a lot of these "little things" right.

Really appreciate the blog. Are you doing teak for the cockpit--or going nonskid all the way? Are the floor heating elements part of the hydronic heat system? Did you do anything different with inverters, isolation transformers, electrical than is standard? Keep up the blog!!

Thanks for the comment Alan.

1. Yes on the teak cockpit! It's a little extra maint but i's lovely, traditional, breaks up all the white FRP. Yes, those floor elements are part of the hydronic. No changes on the electrical from what they normally do.

It would be nice if it offered an option to cool the floors while in the tropics as well.
